Lex
and KC frame Bray - Ep.33 |
Lex's chance comes when Bray organizes a makeover
for the Mall, handing out paint and brushes. Lex starts a paint
fight, and it's great fun!
But this is simply a diversion. Meanwhile KC is planting bottles
of water in Bray's room, which he then arranges for Cloe to
"find". Lex's case against Bray is a strong one.
Lex smugly lets on to Zandra that Bray didn't steal the water
- it's his plan to get rid of him. Zandra isn't at all happy,
but won't go against Lex. |
|
|
Tai-San and Trudy don't believe Bray stole the
water, and see Amber as the only one who can thwart Lex's plan
to throw him out of the Tribe. Lex is such a bully, that no
one else could stand up to him. Amber really has little choice
but to conduct a trial to discover the truth. |
|
|
|
|
No one really believes Bray stole the water, but anyone
who knows what really happened has been stitched up by Lex's threats
and blackmail. Cloe doesn't believe it, but all she can do is tell
the court where she found the bottles.
Tai-San has a few words of caution for everyone: if anyone knows anything,
yet remains silent, they are just as guilty, and something bad is
likely to happen to them. Zandra looks suddenly uneasy. Jack leaves
the court feeling 'unwell'. |
Despite Tai-San's warning, Lex pursues his case
against Bray with ruthless determination. Bray sees no way he'll
win and decides to pack his stuff immediately.
It's Jack who saves the day. He breaks silence as Bray is about
to leave the Mall. Before he can name Lex, KC accepts full responsibility.
Patsy saves the day for KC. She walks in with an Old Man that
Jack saw (or thought he saw) on the surveillance camera. It's
Glen, severely aged by the virus. He collapses in Lex's arms
to the floor. |
|
|
As soon as the Mallrats realize who he is and why he
looks so old, Patsy and Lex are quarantined, but it's not the answer,
and they are soon allowed to rejoin the tribe. Bray organizes two
teams to go out and find information. When they get back, Glen has
already died. Tai-San conducts a short ceremony for him on some open
ground. |
Go in peace, Glen, may you cross
over safely to be absorbed back into the Universal Consciousness.
May you break the chain of Karma and find deliverance from suffering. |
Piecing together the scant information they have
found so far, the Mallrats plan an expedition to Hope Island,
where it is believed the Pandorax company was conducting a secret
research project on anti-aging.
Zandra fears the place is haunted - much to the amusement of
KC. |
|
|
Tai-San also believes in 'restless spirits' who deserve
our respect. Bray picks his team. Lex. Amber and Dal are to go with
him, plus Bob. |
They've been gone barely half an hour, and already
Zandra is fretting about Lex. Tai-San forms a circle - to send
them some "positive energy".
A discussion gets underway in the Café over a drink.
Tai-San supports New-Age thinking vs. Jack's science. Tai-San
sneezes... and again. This is the first sign of the Virus.
Back in her room, sneezes have become coughs, and she feels
cold. |
|
|
|
|
Tai-San refuses to be beaten by her infection,
and life must go on as normal. She gives the girls a dance dance,
until coughs and sneezes take over. |
|
|
While the leaders are away KC runs amok. Painting stripes
on Porky is bad enough, but it's far more serious than that. KC plays
poker at the Casino, trading Jack's batteries and Cloe's pig for gambling
chips. He loses the lot. Fortunately, Cloe goes with him. After playing
roulette through the night and winning, she snatches Porky and runs.
KC is not so lucky. Top-Hat, leader of Tribe Circus and owner of the
Casino, interrogates him. Just where did he get those batteries and
the pig? Top-Hat has ways and means of making KC talk - usually involving
fire. |
The
Hope Island Expedition Returns - Ep.43 |
The Hope Island expedition returns, bringing back computer
files and samples of what they hope is the Antidote. Salene informs
them that Tai-San has fallen sick. Lex jumps to conclusions, grabs
the samples, and heads for the Pharmacy.
Lex is furious when Tai-San refuses to play guinea-pig, preferring
her own self-healing methods. Amber feels obliged to order Lex out. |
|
|
Lex |
|
We've found
the cure |
Tai-San |
|
Good |
Lex |
|
Go ahead -
drink some! |
Tai-San |
|
No! Not for
me |
Lex |
|
You're Joking
- look, you've got to have some |
Tai-San |
|
Thank you,
but I've got my own medicines, Lex |
Lex |
|
TAKE IT! It's
the cure |
Tai-San |
|
It's not my
cure |
Lex |
|
It's your duty:
you could save us all |
Tai-San |
|
Could? |
Bray |
|
Well we're
not sure if it works |
|
|
Tai-San |
|
So, I'm just
your guinea-pig then? |
Amber |
|
We're not certain,
Tai-San, but we're pretty sure |
Tai-San |
|
I'm sorry,
Amber, I don't need it |
Lex |
|
Well, you're
gonna have some |
Bray |
|
Lex cool it! |
Lex |
|
We have to
know, don't we? |
Bray |
|
We're not going
to make her take anything |
Lex |
|
Look at her!
She's dying and she won't help us or herself. |
Amber |
|
Lex, get out!......NOW!
[to Tai-San:] Are you sure about
this? |
Tai-San |
|
It's my way
Amber. |
|
Within the hour Lex falls sick, and all the symptoms
indicate the Virus. Zandra tends to him, and he too refuses
to play "guinea-pig" to test the samples. |
|
|
Trudy
needs a guinea-pig to test the Antidote (for Brady) - Ep.44 |
Trudy pays a house-call on Tai-San and is thrilled that
she is a lot better, aside from a few aches. All praise to natural
healing.
Trudy slowly changes her tone from really nice (the new Trudy) to
threatening and bitter (The old Trudy). She questions what will happen
tomorrow and the day after - Tai-San really should test the antidote
as a service to all (and especially for Brady). Tai-San might only
be on remission, soon to be killed by her wacky principles. Trudy
really looks sour by the time she leaves. |
Lex is resigned to dying soon and wants to make
peace with Ryan, for the way he has used and ill-treated him
in the past. Ryan mentions suggests two alternatives: the Antidote,
or Tai-San's methods of self-healing. |

Tai-San
guides Lex towards his Spiritual Path - Ep.44 |
Lex |
|
Tai San |
Tai-San |
|
Lex....I've
been expecting you |
Lex |
|
I heard you
beat the virus......I've got it, you know. I wanna be cured......I'll
do anything - whatever it takes |
Tai-San |
|
[She takes his hand in hers]
Mine is not an easy cure: it takes courage, determination, and
strength of character |
Lex |
|
I'm ready |
Tai-San |
|
What you need
is a total purification of mind, body and spirit - a karmic
cleansing |
|
|
Lex |
|
How? |
Tai-San |
|
Your search
cannot begin without absolute Truth in your dealings with others.
You must rid yourself of all lies....all deception |
Lex |
|
That's pretty
heavy stuff |
Tai-San |
|
You can do
it. Face up to those you have hurt, and make your peace. Only
then can the healing begin |
|
Lex begins his spiritual journey by burning his
clothes, for they symbolize the Old Lex. Zandra is horrified
and calls him a moron.
Zandra promises Tai-San that if her marriage is destroyed, she
will destroy Tai-San.
Lex continues his new path by apologizing to everyone he has
ever hurt or mistreated. That's just about everyone, including
Zandra. He admits he only married her for sex. |
|
|
Lex puts himself on trial, for such crimes as
plotting to have Bray and Amber thrown out. His self-imposed
punishment is exile, to walk the streets.
Tai-San sees him off. She has provided him with some special
herbs. Zandra is pleased to see him go.
When Ryan visits Zandra to try and cheer her up, she confides
that she is pregnant. |

Tai-San
tries to make peace - Ep.45 |
Zandra |
|
What do you want? |
Tai-San |
|
To make peace |
Zandra |
|
Grovel if you like - beg
- it won't make any difference |
Tai-San |
|
Lex did only what was in
his heart to do |
Zandra |
|
Heart? What heart?.....He
told me he didn't love me...How's that for romantic? |
Tai-San |
|
Isn't it better to know
the truth? For both of you? Lex couldn't pretend for ever |
Zandra |
|
Don't lecture me, Tai-San.
You think you're so cute, don't you? With your cute little sayings
and meditations. I don't buy it. |
|
|
Tai-San |
|
You'll thank me if my wisdom pays
off. |
Zandra |
|
What for? You ruined everything.
I was happy before with Lex, even if it was a lie. I believed in Lex.
Now I don't know what to believe. |
Tai-San |
|
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt
you |
Zandra |
|
I don't want your sympathy, Tai-San.
I want revenge. |
|
