Ep.44 For the last few episodes May and
Salene have been tiptoeing round each other. May wants to talk about "it"
just as much as Salene doesn't want to talk about "it". We also
know that May left a "love letter" on Sal's bed, though she tore
it up before Sal could find it. We have been left wondering how all this
started. What exactly was this "it"? When May left the Mall, Salene
became more forthcoming to Ellie. Though we are still left with an "it"
that dare not speak its name. |

It
was just a spur of the moment thing, I didn't mean anything by it,
honestly. I just felt sorry for her. She was so down on herself, I
didn't know how she felt. I don't think she did either |
Ellie |
|
Maybe not. There's nothing wrong with it
though |
Salene |
|
No, nothing wrong with it, nothing at all.
It's just |
Ellie |
|
Not for you? Poor May |
Salene |
|
I let her down, Ellie. She was my friend
and I drove her away. I just I couldn't give her I feel
so bad where's she going to go? |

And so they continue. Salene considers
going out to look for May. But here's the goof: What was the
spur of the moment thing? It wasn't May's letter. This was something
that Salene did, that gave cause for May to think there was something between
them. It's caused the whole dynamic between the two friends to change. It
can only be something like a kiss.
We do know that Cloud9 filmed a kiss between May and Salene. And the scene
above seems to be talking about it. But the kiss was pulled (deleted) no
doubt because Channel 5 vetoed it. Cloud9's explanation was that they needed
more development of the story to allow a kiss scene to fit in naturally.
So they dropped it. But if the kiss never happened it makes a nonsense of
"It was just a spur of the moment thing, I didn't mean anything
by it, honestly. I just felt sorry for her. She was so down on herself,
I didn't know how she felt. I don't think she did either.
As an ironic twist to this, if you look up what The Tribe actors are doing
now, you'll find it's Victoria Spence (Salene) who has become the Gay Activist.
Which perhaps also explains why she (allegedly) didn't like the whole kissing
thing with Nick Miller (Pride). |
